[eventually] I was getting more and more design stuff. For example I designed the loot system for Dead Island, I was responsible for balancing the game, creating player progression systems, kills, enemy types, stuff like that. In the end, I realized I actually liked more of the design stuff than the production. I asked if I could go full time design, and they were like “yeah, sure. As someone who has been in the industry since 2006, and as the Lead Producer of this year’s upcoming Evil West game, Tomasz Gop is extremely aware of how hard it is for a game to gain traction in what is proving to be an increasingly congested marketplace.
