Contagious caprine pleuropneumonia (CCPP) is a severe disease affecting goats and some wild ruminant species, caused by the bacteria Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capripneumoniae (Mccp). In goats it is manifested by anorexia, fever and respiratory signs such as dyspnoea, polypnea, cough and nasal discharges.
