We here at the Geekiary have been quite rattled by the results of the US Presidential Election. We are, and always have been, a space that enthusiastically highlights content by, for, and about marginalized groups. Most of us are part of one or more of these groups and have very real fears about what the Trump presidency could bring for us and others who may get crushed under their policies.| The Geekiary
So I thought I knew what to expect from The Trainee after last week’s episode, but “Important Role” pleasantly surprised me. The complexity of the characters is really quite fascinating, and I’m loving that we get to see the different dynamics at play.| The Geekiary
All the way back in April, I did a trailer rundown of the second half of GMMTV’s 2024 lineup. The show I was most excited for was The Heart Killers. Starring FirstKhao and JoongDunk and directed by Jojo Tichakorn (Only Friends), the story is based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, but more specifically, the 1999 adaptation Ten Things I Hate About You. Only it’s gay. And they’re assassins. Anyway, the official trailer dropped today and, y’all… My body was not ready.| The Geekiary

Image: GMMTVWhile we must respect the healing powers of the obligatory beach trip, it’s important to remember that it doesn’t fix everything. Case in point, Yotha and Gun may have talked, but they don’t keep talking, and the misunderstandings continue.| The Geekiary
It’s Mhok’s first day on the job in the second episode of Last Twilight, and neither he nor Day are what the other expects. But all they need is some time and understanding – and a little bit of help from goldfish!| The Geekiary
Emotional whiplash is the name of the game in “I’d Like to Make Deep-Fried Shrimp Cakes with You, Chef”, which bounces from sad to sweet to something else multiple times.| The Geekiary
This episode may well have been called “The Apology Tour” rather than “The Chosen One”, because so many characters make apologies for various reasons. Pah in particular spends a lot of his time this episode apologizing. This goes a long way toward growth and character development, and continues to put The Trainee head and shoulders above other series when it comes to communication.| The Geekiary
