Dr. Sofie Boons is a self-proclaimed Alchemical Jeweller whose research and creative practice crosses the disciplinary boundaries of science, craft, and design. She has completed a 4-year Crafts Council Research Fellowship at the Centre for Print Research and finalised a Ph.D. investigating lab-grown crystals and crystal growth technologies, proposing innovations whilst challenging context, terminology, and underlying assumptions.
