The Georgia Tech-led Computer Science for Rural Georgia High Schools Program recently received additional financial support from the Georgia General Assembly for 2024-25. The program has exploded with unprecedented growth over the last year, going from 800 student participants to 4,400. Participating high school teachers across Georgia met at Georgia Tech Aug. 26 – 27 to share ideas and best practices going into the new school year.| research.gatech.edu
Following years of expanded travel efforts to rural areas of Georgia, Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admission is proud to record a 72% increase in rural student applicants, and a 71% increase in admitted students from rural areas in the 2024-25 admission cycle. During the 2024-25 school year, Undergraduate Admission attended 111 events in rural areas, including high school visits, college fairs, and other programming. In total, these programs connected with 6,168 attendees.| Enrollment Management News
