Tiar was born and raised on the Opaskwayak Cree Nation in northern Manitoba. Tiar has also worked for CBC Winnipeg, The Fifth Estate and CBC Indigenous Unit where she was one of the main researchers on a multimedia interactive database about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Tiar also worked for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Tiar is back at APTN News after a decade away.| APTN News
