Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is my favourite Star Trek series, and my second favourite TV series overall, right after Babylon 5. I’ve been rewatching the series every two or three years for the last couple of decades or so, and I am due for another round just about now. While some of the other older Star Trek series have been re-released in HD quality on Bluray, notably, Deep Space Nine and Voyager have not.| Veronica Writes
I’m a huge Science-Fiction fan, which I think anyone who knows me is very well aware of. I enjoy most Sci-Fi to some extent, and my two favourite TV series of all time are Babylon 5 and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In case you were wondering … yes, Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) is my favourite Star Trek captain. Now, I’m not a dedicated Trekkie in that I get totally absorbed by the francise.| Veronica Writes
I write fiction as a hobby, which means I don’t have a lot of time for it aside from work and other activities. Still, it’s a nice creative outlet that I enjoy a great deal when I do find the time. Actually, I spend quite a bit of time thinking about the stories I’m working on even when I’m not writing. In particular, I enjoy the world building aspect of it.| Veronica Writes
Is it just me getting a bit tired of all the post-apocalyptic TV series and movies? Sure, it’s a genre on its own, and there has always been a steady stream of them. I don’t have a problem with that. I just felt that I reached saturation level for my own part with “The Last of Us” that started airing earlier this year. It’s not that I don’t like the genre.| Veronica Writes
I just love it when random conversations on Mastodon result in a “Huh, I didn’t know that”-moment. The other day I had one such moment about the Python programming language. I’ve been writing Python code for the last 17 years, and quite a lot of it the last 7 years since it is now more or less my full time job. While I still learn things all the time about the language, I’ve started to get more curious about its quirks and surprises.| Veronica Writes
It’s again time for a new Kirigami Addons release. Kirigami Addons is a collection of helpful components for your QML and Kirigami applications. FormCard I added a new FormCard delegate: FormColorDelegate which allow to select a color and a new delegate container: FormCardDialog which is a new type of dialog. FormCardDialog containing a FormColorDelegate in Marknote Aside from these new components, Joshua fixed a newline bug in the AboutKDE component and I updated the code examples in the A...| Carl Schwan
A new release of Doxyqml is out. Doxyqml is the tool which we use to transform our QML code in non working C++ code, but good enough for Doxyqml to understand it. This power the documentation of Kirigami, Kirigami Addons, Plasma Framework and more on api.kde.org. This release mainly fix various compatibility bugs with more recent QML versions. Thanks to Frederik Gladhorn, Joshua Goins, Libor Tomsik, Matej Starc and Nikolai R Kristiansen for their contributions to this release.| Carl Schwan
