Moxie Bald Campsite – The Moxie Bald campsite is located on the shore of beautiful Bald Mountain Pond. There are two possible ways to access the site. One is from the Bingham side- this involves driving on about 20 miles of decent gravel roads (no special vehicle required), and then paddling about 2 miles across Bald Mountain Pond to the campsite. Safford Notch Campsite- Be a maintainer in the beautiful Bigelow range! Drive access is via the Long Falls Dam Road and then the East Flagstaff Road (gravel), though a special vehicle is not needed. Hike access is via the Safford Notch Trail, on the eastern side of the range (from near the western shore of Flagstaff Lake); it’s a 2.3-mile hike with 1,225 feet of elevation gain.
