When I come to my dad’s, it’s a toss of the dice if I sleep or not, and yesterday was a no night, I don’t know why, since I have the same medical bed as I do at my place, so I end up putting my headphones on since we sleep in the same room … Continue reading Marry Your Best Friend by Spencer Crandall→| Mybookworld24

Additionally, the first and last lines should evoke or describe silence to frame the whole poem in … Continue reading Looking at the Final Silence→| A Different Perspective
Let me begin by saying this: If you’re going to write a poem with this kind of title, you can be guaranteed I’ll read it. Much like last week’s post, this was not the poem I’d intended to share today. But with the events of the past week or two, I’ve been trying to tone … Continue reading Poetry Friday: “Instructions for Building Your First Time Machine”| Radio, Rhythm & Rhyme

A collection of reflections in free verse – The Sadness I Carry I have worked on myselfslowly, steadily, deeply.I am no longer as sad, anxious, or lostas I once was. It's funny how sometimes there's kind of a "thing" in middle grade literature. This week, I read two different books that were published in the same week and both were about kids who were dealing with a missing mom. It's fairly often that children are left to their own devices, particularly in middle grade literature-think James and the Giant Peach, Harry Potter, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, to name a few, so it's not really surprising to find missing parents, but these two books...| The Book Search
