★★ “Bad behind bars.” With that title, you’ll understand why it’s one I opted not to make part of family movie night. I mean, you can’t argue with the forthrightness, though I’ve little doubt it’s as “true” as most films which make that claim i.e. barely at all. However, the… Continue reading| Girls With Guns
Okay, I'm not one to complain, but who ever thought putting 4 values of wool strips in one little thumb print size circle sounded like a fun, needs to take a long look at their definition of fun! I spent my rug hooking time this week doing gradated grapes. In 4 different gradations. In two different purples. Not only is it a lot of work trying to get your loops somewhat smooth in little circles but also it's a lot of, "so where is the light source for this grape? Is that dark enough...| ninamariesayre.blogspot.com
Usage notes for data storage within university constraints. Background The University of Iceland has an “unlimited” OneDrive setup for staff / graduate students. This is generally not very helpful, but in conjunction with rclone 1 and dvc can be made to be of more use. Baseline Like most of my newer projects, pixi is used to manage the tooling required, along with git-subrepo for handling local changes to projects. 1pixi add dvc rclone As before, we will assume gnome-keyring is present, a...| Rohit Goswami

Yesterday was my Friday off, and I had high hopes of spending quality time in my sewing room. BUT..... I spent practically all day on my feet doing projects around the house. Finally my feet (which btw look like Stay Puft Marshmallow Man these days) couldn't take any more, and all I managed to accomplish sewing-wise was to pull a bunch of fabrics from my stash:| Mia Dolce Originals - Modern Quilts and DIY Projects
In cleaning up my sewing room, I found these 7 quilt tops waiting to be finished. I really don't like half-finished projects laying around taking up space, so I got busy over the weekend and finished 2 of the baby-sized quilts. As for the bigger ones, you might recognize my Kaleidoscope, Scrappy Strings, Soul Blossom, and my oldest WIP an Hourglass throw quilt which I haven't touched in almost 2 years (ahem, and I used to kid my mother about taking 12 years to finish up a queen-size hand-...| Mia Dolce Originals - Modern Quilts and DIY Projects

Friday was another Friday Night Sew-in hosted by Handmade by Heidi. I had plans Friday night, so I sewed during the day (thank goodness for 9/80 schedule and my precious Fridays off!). So I'm back to working on Inheritors (among a myriad of other projects, health issues and personal drama) and as I assemble the lists of Heritages a character can start with, the topic of language keeps popping into my brain. In keeping with both the game's and my own scrapper mentality, I figured I might borrow WILD's language rules which go something like this:| Fail Forward
This is going to be (kind of) a short one, but I wanted to share something I've been chipping away at recently. Friend of the blog (and housemate) Duff once ran a very cool little Mad Max inspired game Hell's Highway for me (twice actually) and recently I decided it'd be a good idea to mash that up with my hyper fixation on my current game of the year Stellar Blade. So here we are... The first making of post for Inheritors.| Fail Forward

Ciao, amici! I have to admit, I haven’t exactly been writing up a storm lately. I’m a third of the way through what I’ve outlined, but I always end up adding scenes because compelling detours present themselves as I flush out the work, so technically I’m probably less than thirty-three percent done.
