Rabbi Joseph ben Joshua ben Meir was born in Avignon in 1496, and lived most of his life in Genoa. His chronicle, written in Hebrew, begins with Adam, but quickly progresses to an account of the First Crusade, and mostly deals with events in the sixteenth century. The final sections of the chronicle deal with events in 1553. The following portion reports on the invasion of Italy by the French king, Francis I, in 1525. | De Re Militari
