Monday morning we woke to a massive thunderstorm with pouring rain. We weren't sure how/if that would effect our plans since it was only 4:30 in the morning. We went back to sleep/laid in bed until nearly 6:30! We made breakfast at the resort and then headed out shortly after 7. | Slices of Life
We had timed entry passes into the North Fork section of the park on Sunday Sept. 7th. for 7-9 am. We were up early enough to start in the park and go past Apgar Village. Thank goodness too as even going this way we had nearly an hour on unpaved, bumpy roads. | Slices of Life
Once we finished our scenic boat tour we headed further down the Going to the Sun Road to park near the Trail of the Cedars/Avalanche Lake trail. | Slices of Life
We packed our lunches and were ready early so we headed out to the national park and arrived just before 7; we actually had a Going to the Sun Road pass included with our scenic boat tour reservation but we didn't need it since we're such early risers. The sunrise was beautiful!| Slices of Life

We left home Tuesday September 3rd early in the morning, at 4 am, to make our 7am flight out of Providence. It was a very uneventful day of flying and we had just enough time on our connecting flight through Chicago to go to the bathroom and grab some nice warm bagels for a late breakfast. | Slices of Life
