The summer allergies are still hanging on, but it wasn't so bad this weekend. A lot of sneezing, but I've not needed quite so many tissues....| kate-life-in-pieces.blogspot.com
July was a busy month. I was away from home for over a week helping Grad Girl move. So there's not a lot of progress to report for the July PHD report over at Ms. P Designs. | Life In Pieces
We've been enjoying a bit of cooler weather the last few days. It was a nice start to August. I'm still working on getting used to my new schedule. Grad Girl takes care of herself, but the keeping the cat happy still takes a bit of work. Though neither affected my time in the sewing room this last week, but for some reason I struggled with my to do list. | Life In Pieces
I'm a day late posting this week's to do list. We are still working with uncertain scheduling since Grad Girl and Queenie moved home. Grad Girl left yesterday morning for Houston. She has two job interviews this week. Which means I'm on kitty babysitting duty, that includes at least 30 minutes to an hour of outside time in the morning. She's used to having access to a third floor balcony to observe life from. We have a fenced backyard, but Queenie is far from an outside cat and we're ...| Life In Pieces
It's been two weeks since my last to do list post. Between being way to busy packing and moving Grad Girl, plus the lack of Internet, putting a list together last week just didn't happen. So here's the progress on my last to do list. | Life In Pieces
It was a busy weekend and though I got my stitching time in most days, I was still busy enough that it was hard to get to everything on last week's to do list. | Life In Pieces
Secret projects didn't used to be very common in my sewing room. But with taking on the block of the month program for the guild, I don't feel like I can share much of that sewing till I've showed it at the guild meeting. Getting a bit ahead has been my focus for the last month, so there's not much else going on in the sewing room. If I take off all the bits and pieces of the BOM off my sewing table, here's what's left. | Life In Pieces
Hard to believe we are half way through 2025. Now that it's July it's time to take another look at my progress with the June PHD report over at Ms. P Designs. | Life In Pieces
Do you ever look at your calendar and realize that you don't really have that much time to get ready for something? Grad Girl will be movin...| kate-life-in-pieces.blogspot.com
Walking Wells Street in Old Town is the quintessential urban experience. Wide sidewalks, al fresco dining, one-of-a-kind shops and the remnants of the 60s all contribute to Wells Street’s distinctive vibe. Residents at Cobbler Square have the excitement of Wells Street outside their front door, and lush, tree-shaded courtyards as their private retreat. Many of the shops on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile sell what might be described as tartan tat. However, this historic Old Town thoroughfare is also a destination for something much more tempting than a hairy haggis or ‘see you Jimmy’ hat. That’s thanks to long term resident The Fudge House, who have been at the […]| Artisan | Scotsman Food and Drink

This is probably the best time to approach Dubrovnik airport as lovely golden colours of magic hour are spilled all over town walls and Old town.
