Okay, I’m going to be honest. We’ve been sitting on this craft for a looooong time. I’m not going to say exactly how long, but this was part of a series of crafts I’d mentioned in this post. I paid Lorelai to draw out some cute animals for me to turn into printables and this was one of them. | learncreatelove.com
Leatherback sea turtles are truly fascinating reptiles! They make up the world’s largest turtle species and can grow to around 2 meters, or 6 feet long! They also weigh-in around 2000lbs, or 900kg. Another fascinating fact is that their shells are not hard like most turtles; their speckled backs are a leathery texture that is soft and flexible.| learncreatelove.com
Did you know that pilot whales can live in groups of thousands and like to eat squid? They also live around 50-60 years, though they are often hunted and killed for their meat before then. Pilot whales are distinctive looking because of their bulging foreheads and slender, pointed flippers. Lorelai enjoyed painting – cutting – assembling this pilot whale (and baby!) craft! Feel free to print below, and enjoy! Also check out our other whale crafts for more fun!| learncreatelove.com
This adorable bunny craft, complete with a flower crown & bouquet, was designed by Lorelai! As I mentioned in the chicks craft earlier, I commissioned some sketches of cute animals and she really came through for me! With Easter just around the corner, this sweet bunny will be perfect for your kid to decorate, cut, and assemble! Check out Lore’s sketch below! Tis the season for adorable baby chicks with floral crowns… or something like that. 😉 I commissioned some “cute baby animal” drawings from Lorelai and she didn’t dissapoint! She was so excited to design some crafts for our site. You’ll be seeing a bunch more crafts designed by her coming soon! Check out her original sketches that I referenced for these crafts below.| learncreatelove.com
Unicorns are a biiiig hit in our household. We have 2 daughters who love any and everything mythical – from dragons, to centaurs, and especially unicorns! Years ago, Lorelai crafted this unicorn, so it was about time we made another. This one is just the head, but be sure to check out the other craft if you want the whole body version. Enjoy!| learncreatelove.com
This is actually the second rhino craft we’ve done here on LCL. Lorelai painted this one years ago- it’s orange & cartoony! She chose to make this one more traditional colors, though she did add in a little pop of color. If you’re looking for some fun facts about rhinos to share with your kids, you can find some here. Grab the free template below and enjoy!| learncreatelove.com
This chonker here is called an elephant seal. Can you guess why? Yep, it’s the trunk-like nose that the male seals have! Lorelai was very amused by this printable and didn’t believe me that it was a real animal. So, I pulled up google and showed her a picture. She laughed quite a bit, then proceeded to make the craft. She added some bluish-green to give him some color. So cute! Grab the free printable template below. Enjoy!| learncreatelove.com
You have to admit, this is the most adorable salamander craft you’ve ever seen, isn’t it? Lorelai did such a great job on it! I love how she chose to do a rainbow gradient and black outline. It’s probably my favorite from her recent batch of crafts. Grab the printable below, and enjoy!| learncreatelove.com
