Kirsteen McNish was the Quay Words writer-in-residence for Summer 2025. During her ‘Tides’ residency at Exeter Custom House, she set out to explore the tides’ influence on our psyche, excavate unheard stories, and study the elemental energies of the natural world to explore what is often hidden or churned up by the tide.
