Citing prolonged frustration with the locally elected leadership of Tennessee’s largest school district, a state lawmaker from Memphis says he’ll introduce legislation authorizing Gov. Bill Lee’s administration to appoint up to six new school board members for Memphis-Shelby County Schools.
