In the 2024 legislative session, at least 40 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia introduced artificial intelligence (AI) bills, and six states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands adopted resolutions or enacted legislation.
