As the Aftermath Project draws to a close, Aftermath postdoctoral researcher Dr. Joshua Batts has been awarded his own European Research Council Starting Grant to begin a new project, Material Authority: Managing Mineral Abundance in Early Modern Japan (MMA). Starting Grants may be awarded up to €1.5 million for a period of 5 years.
