Eddie Howe was officially announced as Newcastle United's new manager on 8th November 2021. Howe played over 300 games as a defender between 1995 and 2007 for Bournemouth and Portsmouth. He managed The Cherries for 11 years, split by a nine month spell in charge of Burnley. Since taking over Newcastle he led the club to the Carabao Cup final and back into the Champions League
