On November 5, 2024 the Ontario Court of Appeal dismissed the Waterloo Region District School Board's attempt to stop my defamation lawsuit. This landmark decision reinforces that public institutions cannot mischaracterize citizens' speech, even in discussions about sensitive topics like gender.
