In his book Determined, Robert Sapolsky presents the scientific argument for how and why it is that we have absolutely no free will, even though we “feel” that we do. Worse than that, he says, we have no free will to believe anything other than that we do have free will, and no free will to do anything other than to rationalize our actions as if we they were the result of our free will.
