The spa is just an hour and a half drive from Reykjavik and it takes advantage of the naturally heated water from Europe's most powerful hot spring, Deildartunguhver, with a temperature of 100°C (212°F). The hot water is cooled to achieve the perfect bathing temperature with cold water from Rauðsgil, which originates from a nearby glacier. The pools are made of natural materials such as volcanic stone and wood, which creates a natural and cozy atmosphere.
