Doctors and human rights organisations, including the ASRC and Amnesty International, have today backed the reintroduction of the Medevac legislation, calling it a vital lifeline for refugees and people seeking asylum abandoned by the Australian Government in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Nauru, where a worsening health crisis requires immediate action.
