Clinton Carlson, an associate professor of visual communication design at the University of Notre Dame, is exploring how design can help communities better prepare and respond when disaster strikes. With funding from a Luksic Family Collaboration Grant, through Notre Dame International, Carlson launched an initiative called Design for Emergency, which hosted a series of workshops on campus over the last two weeks.
