Many LGBTQ adults work in the public and nonprofit sectors. Much of the relief from the Biden administration has been through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. According to the most recent Household Pulse Survey data, about one in four (24%) LGBT people who are currently employed work in the public or nonprofit sectors.6
