I was thinking how I’d like to tackle the complexity of this Daruma app icon at smaller sizes. As real daruma decrease in size, brush strokes are simplified. Real life optical sizes! So for this app icon, sizes 128×128 and above feature a visually complex facial hair design, akin to medium-large daruma, but the smaller sizes are simplified in the same way real ones are.
