International Rescue Committee (IRC) Ambassador and actress Ebony Obsidian recently concluded a visit to South Sudan where she witnessed the country’s mounting humanitarian needs and the impacts of the climate crisis. Her desire to visit South Sudan was driven by urgent issues affecting the country, efforts made by the IRC in response, and her personal connection to the region.
