At last year’s Podcast Show – a vast annual industry expo that takes place at Islington’s Business Design Centre – my plans to spend a relaxing afternoon tutting at panels and reacquainting myself with the half dozen podcast people I’m already acquainted with, was interrupted when Rishi Sunak decided to step out in the driving rain and call an early general election.
