The British Broadcasting Corporation is a national broadcaster in the UK and has a base in Birmingham. It is mostly funded by the licence fee although generates a quarter of its income from BBC Studios, which sells programmes internationally. Key programmes created in Birmingham include Doctors and The Archers. The production of Masterchef will move to Birmingham in 2024.
