Voting rights for individuals convicted of a felony vary widely by state. In ME and VT voting is still permitted, including while incarcerated. In 23 states (CA,CO,CT,HI,IL,IN,MD,MA,MI,MN,MT,NV,NH,NJ,NM,NY,ND,OH,OR,PA,RI,UT,WA) those with a felony conviction are unable to vote while incarcerated, while in 15 (AK, AR, GA, ID, KS, LA, MO, NE, NC, OK, SC, SD, TX,WV, WI) they also are unable to vote until the completion of the sentence (including probation or parole). In 10 states (AL, AZ, DE, FL...
