The year 2021 marks the 300th anniversary of Hans Egede’s arrival in Greenland to Christianise and colonise the island. His influence on almost every aspect of life in Greenland is visible even in modern times and, today, most Greenlanders are officially Christians and members of the Lutheran State Church.
