On January 1, 2024, Seattle City Light will implement new rates adopted by Seattle City Council last fall. In addition to a 4.5% base rate increase, we anticipate applying two automatic surcharges: an approximate 1% increase for projected higher costs from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in 2024 and a 4% Rate Stabilization Account (RSA) surcharge due to high cost of power in 2023.
