The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder is honoring the legacy of longtime engineer Rick Kohnert with the official dedication of its newly expanded CubeSat development space as the Kohnert CubeSat Lab. Kohnert, who led the small satellite department until his sudden passing on February 8, 2023, was the founding project manager for LASP’s CubeSat projects and designed the CubeSat lab space in the Astrophysical Research Lab on East Campus.
