On August 1, the thirty-fifth anniversary of Pamela Smart’s incarceration, a group of formerly incarcerated women from New York came to the State House to ask Gov. Kelly Ayotte to visit Smart at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in New York, where Smart is serving a life sentence.
