The Tampa Bay History Center is dedicated to sharing the state's history, from prehistoric, to colonial, to modern-day Florida. An affiliate of the Smithsonian, this museum includes the Touchton Map Library, the only cartographic research center in Florida, which features maps dating back more than 500 years.
