it's very funny that in retrospect (and i am absolutely guilty of this myself) what most people remember about this movie is the 20 minutes of San Diego Dinosaur Apocalypse and not the other 1h40m of... mostly characters facing off against environmental dangers like falling off cliffs or whatever? but i guess that's not that unreasonable given that the San Diego stuff -- and especially the introductory moments of the San Diego stuff -- have such a creeping, unreal horror to them.
