Our research centers on elucidating fundamental principles governing neuronal degeneration and regeneration. Our goal is to learn how to repair and protect neurons after injury and during disease. We employ a variety of models in which to interrogate these processes, including in vitro methods in human neurons and in vivo approaches in the mouse.
