The term “homelab” has always annoyed me. Generally, it’s used to mean something like “having a pile of servers at home” with the implication that they’re mostly used for learning and experimentation. So, er, I certainly meet the “have a pile of servers” at home definition (see this post from last year, for example), and a certain amount of experimentation does in fact occur, but that’s not really what it’s all for.
