When people ask me what the best blog software is, I say Movable Type. Which is a shame, because it hasn’t been available to mere mortals like us for a long time. It feels as though the last nail in the coffin was just nailed into the coffin: We have made the difficult decision to discontinue Typepad, effective September 30, 2025.
