One of the major challenges I’ve faced in my attempts to understand the later prophets or books like Iyov (Job) is developing a sense of a sefer’s structure. Translating the contents one chapter at a time is nice but, as a rule, that won’t help resolve even the countless apparent internal contradictions in the text, much less reveal the big lessons the book is trying to teach me. I think you can see me struggling with such big-picture problems in
