All of a sudden my Chrome stopped showing text on a few pages. For example that is how the internet archive looks: And this is how Facebook login looks: Interestingly, the international characters are there. Brave, on the same system shows these pages correctly. I have tried the following and nothing works: Clear cache, cookies, etc… Remove the config directory of chrome from the machine. Reinstalled Chrome. Rebuilt the font cache. Tried it on Wayland.
