The first pep rally of the year was Hawaiian-themed on Aug. 29. The classes competed in a table surfing competition and in a spirit competition. The juniors took the table surfing title and the seniors won the spirit stick. Students in the band, cheer, Silver Stars and Pacific Islanders Cultural Club all performed.
