Donald Trump's injunction to Hungary and Slovakia to stop buying Russian oil is a positive step to punish Russia for invading Ukraine. But why is the US (including Donald Trump?) happy on the opportunity for Exxon to re-enter Sakhalin-1 (alternate source) and do business with Russia, on oil, again? Why take two opposing political actions? Has Donald Trump, or his administration, explained something about this contradiction?
