At the latest meeting of the Autonomous University of Barcelona’s Comissió de Doctorat, the Aftermath Project’s two PhD students, Baihui Duan and Jaime Gonzalez, have each been awarded a “Premis Extraordinaris de Doctorat” prize for their doctoral dissertations. Baihui’s dissertation (2022) was entitled “Managing Epidemics in Post-Imjin Korea: War, Environment, Infectious Diseases, and Medicine, 1576-1720.”
