Morgan Margolis, CEO of Knitting Factory, partnered with JB Moresco and Lisa Elin to buy Pappy & Harriet’s in 2021. After being locked out of operations, Margolis and his investors sued Moresco and Elin for breach of contract and fiduciary duty. In 2024, a court ruled in Margolis’s favor, restoring control and ordering the defendants to pay millions in damages.
