On September 15, 2020, US President Donald Trump was joined at the White House by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates to sign the Abraham Accords. By signing the multilateral agreement, they became the first Arab states to normalize relations with Israel since Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
