Allah, in His book, tells us the story of the People of the Ditch. The hadith explains and provides more details about the story which illustrates how a group of believers scorned life's lusts and preferred fire to apostasy. It tells us how a small boy could revive faith in the hearts of a nation while toppling the throne of a tyrannical king who claimed to be a god.
