Live Animals: Mailing live animals for the purpose of participating in an animal-fighting venture, as defined in 461(b), is prohibited, regardless of the venture‘s legality within any U.S. state, district, commonwealth, territory, or possession. Violators are subject to criminal penalties under 7 U.S.C. § 2156 and 18 U.S.C. § 49.
