The Ward 1 South Euclid City Council race features two current council members vying for one seat. Current Councilwoman at-large Chanell Elston, who has served on council since March, 2020, is seeking the Ward 1 seat against Mark McMillian, who was tabbed in May by council to fill the vacancy left when longtime Ward 1 councilwoman Ruth Gray resigned.
