Vietnam has rolled out its first vaccine against RSV, a leading cause of pneumonia and severe respiratory illness in infants and the elderly. This marks a major step in reducing hospitalisations and deaths among pregnant women, newborns, and seniors. Developed by Pfizer, the vaccine uses recombinant protein technology and targets both RSV-A and RSV-B strains.
